So I created my first character, MMOPrincess (I know, lol). She’s a summoner. The bad thing is I didn’t read the description, so I don’t know the specifics of the class, but I do know that it summons monsters to do my bidding.
The first thing I noticed is that even if I had a ranged weapon, I’m not able to hit a monster when the crosshair is red. The interface is nostalgic and easy to read, and a first person view is readily available. When I adjusted the graphic settings, I was prompted to relog the game for the effects to change. When I re-logged, i noticed that the map is different. This might indicate that the maps are randomly made by the game. The first quest was for me to speak with Samuel. I couldn’t get anything more from the Quest Log (L), so I went on with the quest. When I went up to him, I was given a tutorial about skills and the mouse button skills. So I changed my quickslot skills to my preference.
When I walked on I noticed that I haven’t actually read the quests. LOL. So I continued on and I met an NPC named James. He asks me to escort him to a seraphim guy (which kinda reminds me of Sephiroth) and also asked me to hunt 3 Venerable Hooks.
After killing some mobs an announcement popped up saying I won a mini-event. I’m still not familiar with the mini-event though, but I think it’s a good idea since it can help lessen the repetition of killing monsters in maps. I also noticed that when you hit some buidings or objects, they blow up. Now this is cool.
When I went to the seraph James was talking about, he gave me a passives skill. He said that more passive skills can be gained by finishing challenge assignment. I think this is a cool idea since it’ll add variety to builds. Also, I received a title because of finishing a quest (which up to now I wasn’t aware of). The title/achievement is really good, since this is what I look out for in games. After talking to an NPC, I was instructed to go to Greenwich Headquarters. Yey! I finished my first series of quests. I also learned to summon along the way. So far so good. :) I guess that’ll be all for now. I’ll update it again next time. I’ll just leave you guys with a picture of me in Greenwich Headquarters.
