Classic ARPG-Style Games Now Venturing the MMO World

Disclaimer: I’m not an expert on ARPGs, nor am I expert on MMO games.

From an innocent gamer’s perspective I think that classic ARPGs are slowly venturing the MMO Scene. When I say classic, I’m not talking about WoW-like features, but rather the old roguelike features of ARPGs, specifically, the Diablo-esque games.

 

Hellgate Global Halloween Heads for Heads Event Evaluation

Hello everyone, this is an evaluation of the recently finished event of Hellgate Global called “Halloween Heads for  Heads Event“. I will tackle what the event was all about, if it achieved its purpose, and the community’s (and my own) feedback.

 

Hellgate Global is not an FPS!!!

Hellgate Global is described by many uninformed sites as a first-person shooter game with RPG elements. I beg to disagree. I believe what they’re talking about is Borderlands. Hellgate Global is a far different game from what they are trying to portray.

Hello everyone,

Well I haven’t been a responsible blogger. I’ve been to engrossed with Hellgate Global that I just stopped using my Summoner and tried other classes. I’ve tried a Marksman, a Guardian, and a Blademaster. Right now my main is a Blademaster. I’ve been approached by an MMO site regarding being a part of their blog club. I accepted, but when I looked back at this blog, I felt kinda guilty because I haven’t updated this for a while.

So I decided that I will continue blogging about my favorite game, but sad to say, I don’t think that I’ll be able to continue the Let’s Play Blog series as I used to do. Still, I’ll continue on creating articles about Hellgate Global.

I saw in last week’s maintenance notes a very weird picture:

And then, yesterday, I saw this:

It was a post on Facebook by Hellgate Global. This was just posted out of nowhere, for no apparent reason. This sounds pretty much like a teaser for Hellgate Tokyo. Just a hunch. Wathchathink?

Hi guys, I’m back. I’ve been playing Hellgate with some other characters so I wasn’t able to update this. But now I decided to play it again, and would like to update my blog.

Hi guys, I’m back. Sorry for the delayed posts. Anyhow, I’m currently on a quest called “Fawkes Hunt”, where I am tasked to find the Fallen Seraph. I finished South Hampton Row last time, and then I logged out. The first thing I noticed is that I returned to Holborn Station. I guess this is because the dungeons are instanced. So I’ll fast forward to Russel Square.

Logging off returns you to a nearby settlement.
